This and That

It has been a busy week and I have been lame at posting. But here is a good catch up post.

First, congratulations to Aimee, the winner of Adventures with the Word of God from the Hoppy Easter Giveaway Hop that ended a few days ago! Please e-mail me with your address so I can drop it into the mail. I hope you enjoy it.

Second, my mom and I have been laughing at the cuteness of the formula for knowing what your guest name is for attending the royal wedding.

Lord/Lady + (one of your grandmother's first names) + (your first pet's name) hyphenated with (the name of the street you first lived on).

So, for me, my name works out to be Lady Helen Fritz-Drumm. I think my daughter's name is cuter - Lady Patricia Rose-Peppertree. What would your name be? Let me know in a comment.

Speaking of royal weddings, do you plan on watching it tomorrow morning? I remember getting up in the wee hours of the morning to watch Diana and Charles get married. I am not sure it was worth it. Plus I am a lot older now and suffer much more from being sleep deprived. I am thinking I will go with the replay version on television, but am not sure yet...

Lastly, I had some good news today: I learned I get to teach a class this summer. I had thought I would not be teaching because there are only limited classes offered in the summer. Plus, the comms building will be under renovation. But I spoke with the dean today and she asked if I could teach an evening class twice a week, which is perfect since the kids will be out of school. Yay for steady summer income!

Hope you are having a good week, too.

  2. Lady Hellen Ally-Jones. I could so pull that off. Glad to hear you're still doing well over there.

  3. Lady Mary Penny-Port-au-Prince unexpectedly woke up at 4:30 a.m. and couldn't resist watching Royal Spectators packed in the streets around Buckingham Palace. Dozed off before the royal kiss!

  4. First--congrats on teaching this summer! That is good news. And no I did not watch the wedding, but my daughter watched it in school today--twice. She now is positive she wants to marry a prince. But then didn't we all? :-)

    Yours Truly,
    Lady Georgina Gidget-Bendemere
