Vacation Reading List

I have blog block, so this post will be short. On Saturday I ordered three books to take on vacation to read. I think I will need to pick up two more. Any recommendations?

Here is what I am considering:

Spare Change by Aubry Mace

My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison

Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George

Does anyone have a copy of Seeking Persephone I could borrow (by Sarah Eden)? I would be happy to pay postage and would treat it very gently. It is no longer in print and not available online anywhere that I can find.

If you have any book suggestions for me, please leave a comment.

  1. I LOVED My Fair Godmother. Such a fun book. It would make a perfect Disney movie. I read Princess at the Midnight Ball too. I liked it. I think I gave it 4/5 stars. Right now, I'm read Positively...I can't remember who it's by, but it's a YA Fiction about a girl who is HIV-Positive, and her mom dies and her dad and step-mom send her to a camp for kids with HIV. So far, it's good. Did you read The Chosen One? It's a YA Fiction - very good. I'm also reading Soft Spoken Parenting by H. Wallace Goddard. It's good so far. I hope you find some good books to read!

  2. I just finished Goose Girl, quick and fun read. I am currently reading Tending Roses, so I can't give you a full review, but so far it is enjoyable.

  3. Books that I just couldn't put down once I started... Book of a Thousand Days, Keturah and Lord Death & Hunger Games series. Some nonfiction books... Leaving Microsoft to Change the World by John Woods or the more well known Greg Mortenson book Three Cups of Tea. Good luck finding your last 2 books and enjoy your vacation!

I'll be taking Gone With the Wind & Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on our vacation. For the entire family our books on CD will be Gregor the Overlander & This Time Together by Carol Burnett.

  4. I generally take Jane Austin (P&P or S&S usually, but Persuasion is OK too)or Louisa May Alcott. Not usually Little Women (cuz I read it every January, anyway), but maybe Eight Cousins/Rose In Bloom or An Old Fashioned Girl. Sometimes, I pick up a Debbie MacComber book (I read the Cedar Cove series). I like her. I haven't read it but have heard good things about "The Book Thief". Have a great time on your vacation!
