Trip Pics

Day 1: After a visit to my publisher we stopped by my alum, BYU. Can you find the Y up on the mountain?

Later, after checking in to the hotel, we fed the ducks at the nearby pond.

Day 2: Can you tell by this pick it was not an easy day for me? I would like to smack the stranger who took this picture for us and did not get the whole SLC temple in the background. I wonder what he thought we were doing getting our picture taken in that location if not for the background?

Steve and Patch going into the Conference Center.

After dropping off the guys at priesthood we spent a little time in the VC.

Day 3: I got to hear this beautiful music!

Scripture of the Day: D&C 18: 10, 15-16

  1. Becky... I love these photos! And I have to say... you look great! We plan on sending our oldest to conference soon with his dad too. What an amazing experience for you and your family.

  3. I am glad you had such a fun trip! The pictures are very nice. I laughed at the temple one though. We had that happen to us once. We wanted our picture with a fountain behind us and the man who took it only got our heads. Huh?? Oh well. At least we can tell you are in front of the temple. :-)

P.s. I am currently reading Icing on the Cake. They didn't have it when I went to get the sequel so I read that first. But the other night this was in, so I got it. But now I have to read little snitches of it between everything else in life.

  4. Kind of ironic how you go to conference to be enlightened and draw closer to Heavenly Father, more Christ like ... then make a nasty remark about a "stranger" who took the time to stop and take a photo of your sweet family, but missed the crucial spires that you had expected for them to capture.
Be grateful for the kind angels that do their best, and hopefully they'll be grateful for you, in spite of your ungratefulness.

  5. Dear Anonymous,
You are right that my comment about the stranger sounded ungrateful. I will try harder not to be so ungrateful, but please don't expect perfection from me. I am only human and have never pretended to be anything but. Like everyone else, I am a work in progress.
Thanks for taking time to read my blog, Becky
